Vixsoft and the Government Gateway
Vixsoft Systems specialise in solutions for the freight forwarding industry.
Their Freightfax solution needed to send data backwards and forwards between user
companies and HM Customs and Excise using prescribed technology. We worked with Vixsoft to link our
Government Gateway product to their Freightfax solution to give them
what they needed.
Wire Rolling Mills
We developed an Order Processing System, specifically for wire
rolling mills, which allows sales staff to check stock online and give
customers immediate telephone quotations, followed by a confirmation
faxed by the system direct to the customer. The software takes into
account the daily copper price fluctuations; when placed, the customer
order is routed through the factory by the system, and sales staff can
check the status of orders online.
Document Archiving & Retrieval
A local solicitor required an easy-to-use archiving and retrieval
system, with a facility to relate documents to specific matters. The
software we provided allows hard copy to be scanned and linked to a
specific matter, as well as allowing electronic mail to be linked
to the relevant matter.
Payroll EoY Submission
We worked with a number of companies to provide payroll EoY
Internet submission capability ahead of the April 2005 deadline.
These included payroll bureaux, a payroll software developer,
construction companies and other organisations, who between them
submitted well over a quarter of a million employees EoY returns.
We were able to do this because our FileThyme
submission software can be configured to send data from many different
systems to the Inland Revenue and other government agencies. FileThyme
is the Internet filing module of our own PayThyme payroll, full details
of which can be found at www.paythyme.com.
We also offer a service to validate payroll data adn make such submissions on behalf of organisations, a service that several organisations, one a well-known charity, took advantage of in April and May to avoid being fined by the Revenue.
