BMIHT

The most important motor industry museum in the UK, the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust is responsible for maintaining a huge amount of essential archive material - literally hundreds of thousands of photographs, engineering drawings, books, brochures etc - as well as the actual motor vehicles in the collection.

We developed a software package - "CURATOR" - which allows BMIHT to catalogue the archive and search the database in many different ways. The software fully meets the standards laid down with regard to museum accessions etc.

Subsequently we have used our own Thyme RDE tools to develop an archive access system that enables people visiting the museum to search the BMIHT archive rapidly, to access the items they need.
